In November 2006, Paul Read was awarded ‘Guardian Student Photographer of the Year 2006’. In July 2006, after qualifying with a First Class BA Honours Degree in Photojournalism from the University of Wales, he was short-listed and exhibited by the Getty Images Gallery, London, for the prestigious ‘Ian Parry Awards 2006’.

He has since received commissions from companies including The Guardian newspaper and has photographed for clients in Switzerland, France, India, and Finland. Paul has worked in wonderful wedding venues including the London Tower Bridge, the Gherkin, the Waldorf Hotel and along the spectacular Brittany coast.

Paul is currently working on a number of projects, including a documentary project about a subject called Lucia, a children's entertainer based in north Cheshire.
