Manchester born & bred, Simon (aka Dr Strangelove) was using an SLR camera since he was just 7 years old and has been honing his art ever since.  Five years later, another passion grabbed him after attending a rock concert and being captivated by the theatre, spectacle & atmosphere.  He was soon combining the two, sneaking cameras into gigs and taking photos for the seemingly impossible challenge of taking the perfect live shot.  Captivating the essence of a great performance is something he built on every time.

Several years and countless gigs later he remains unburdened of formal photographic skills.  His unique style is completely self - taught and is a refreshing change to the traditional photographer.
For this exhibition we have carefully selected a series of stunning images of iconic Mancunian Ian Brown.   We felt these images needed something more than just a print and a mount in a frame.  So we’ve printed them onto canvas and the end result takes these images to another level!
